Scholastic Art and Writing Awards - Honorable Mention - 2014

I created this up-cycled garment at a Pre-College course at the University of the Arts. I designed and constructed a pair of ruffled high-waisted shorts using up-cycled fabric from an oversized muumuu found at Goodwill. The shorts feature an exposed zipper, slot seams at the sides, and pleated trim at the waistband and pant legs.
